Ghostbusters Firehouse Alarm Button
In 2011 I expanded my eclectic Ghostbusters prop collection by IDing the pushbutton used for Janine's alarm.
The button itself was made by a company called Square D. It's a model 9001 TR14 with a red plastic cap. The company was bought out years ago and as far as I can tell this model is no longer being produced, I found mine on ebay.
The base dome was a bit harder to locate. I'm still not sure exactly what it was but I happened across a retractable clothesline at a thrift store that seems pretty close.
I removed the dome from the base and drilled four mounting holes for the pushbutton which was then attached with screws. And that's it, a simple completed prop.
